in front of the shelves.
The microprocessor control unit has 4 serial
interfaces for the connection of peripheral devices as standard. |
Up to 6 retrieval-accesses
are possible per storage-lift. The microprocessor control
unit can be used in the following versions:
- MP 12 D-S — self-contained carousel control unit
with integrated inventory management for Rotomat or Lean-Lift
- MP 12 D-H — user interface for Rotomat or Lean-Lift
in conjunction with an MP 100A central control unit or
PC-supported inventory management.

The MP 12 D-S compact control unit already
has the inventory control functions for the Hanel Lean-Lift and
Rotomat fully integrated
- The 4 MB flash PC card offers capacity for 10,000 items in
up to 100,000 storage locations.
- The article number, name and another 25 optional data fields
can be stored in memory for each item.
- Minimum inventory control with low-stock warning and a printable
re-order recommendation list.
- Up to 255 different storage locations are possible per article.
- Up to 255 articles can be stored in one location.
- When replenishing, the operator is given suggestions of empty
storage locations by the control unit.
- Different storage strategies, such as FIFO, random storage,
or fixed location can be selected.
- Processing of parts lists with quantity factor and availability
check.
- Order-picking can be sequential (in the definded sequence)
or route-optimized (the shortest route through the storage locations).
- Extensive printouts and listings are possible according to
varied criteria.
- Integrated system clock.
- Numerous settings are possible for inventory management: standard
store-room application, file management. lending management,
with/without inventory control, etc.
- 4 directly accessible serial interfaces for the connection
of PC, printer, barcode reader, badge reader, etc.
|
 |
|
 |
The new MP 12 D-S is the ideal compact
controller for the Hanel Rotomat and offers numerous functions
without an additional PC

For even greater efficiency of the MP 12 D-S,
the following supplementary modules are available:
- Access code management for checking the authorization of employees
to access the inventory.
- Item pool management for transfer of the article master data.
- Operations journal reporting all S/R movements to a host computer.
- Management of external shelves for the Lean-Lift.
- Shelf height management for the Lean-Lift, for optimum shelf
height utilization.
- Barcode cross-check for verifying that the correct article
has been stored/retrieved.
Other advantages
- High data security due to the PCMCIA flash cards used as storage
medium with TTS data storage, i.e. memory contents are always
up-to-date, even in the event of a power outage!
- Index searching allows article numbers to be found very quickly!
- Parts found quickly by match code search through all data
fields!
- Minimum access times and maximum capacity usage due to the
Lean-Lift's optimization run!

the Rotomat |
 |
| The MP O A-ZD standard control
unit |
 |
| The high-efficiency microprocessor
control unit MP OA-ZD is ergonomically integrated in the work
counter of the Hanel Rotomat office carousel |
|
| The MP 100A - high-powered central
control unit for up to 99 carousels
The MP 100A is a separate central control unit.
It is used for inventory management and as a data memory in a
carousel network of 2 to 99 carousels. An MP 12 D-H is used as
the input/output unit at each carousel. All the carousels in the
network can be operated simultaneously.
The MP 100A, together with the MP12D-H control
units are the carousels, has the same functionality as the individual
carousel controllers, but in addition it supports the requirements
of a warehouse with multiple carousels.
The 10 MB flash PC card used as the nonvolatile
storage medium offers space for 100,000 parts in up to 400,000
storage locations including 4,000 order-picking or parts lists
with up to 100,000 items.
The operator is automatically referred to the
carousel that contains the required part (with data transfer).
Order picking can be processed with time optimization if required,
i.e. if carousels are busy, the route optimization feature is
skipped. An optimum route list can be stored for each carousel
so that the operator can take the shortest route through the warehouse.
Shelf pre-positioning of the next carousel can
be activated to offer high-speed order picking.
An RS 232 host interface and parallel printer
interface are already integrated.
An MP 12 D control unit can be used as a rack
storage control unit for management of rack warehouses. |
The MP O A - standard control
unit with numeric keypad and 3-digit display window
- Direct selection of the shelf by entering the shelf
number.
- Digital display of the shelf number.
|
- Detailed error message display by error code.
- Individually programmed stop position using the MFP
S1.
|
|
The MP O A-ZD - standard control
unit with numerous functions
- Two-line VF Display.
- Language of display text can be freely selected.
- Manual or computerized operating modes.
- Direct selection of shelf, compartment and compartment
depth.
- Access to the storage location by barcode reader.
- Identification of the storage location by compartment/compartment
depth displays.
- Up/down keys for manual operation.
|
- Error message display in plain text.
- Key lock functions.
- Operation at two separate access points possible.
- Computer link via RS 232 or Centronics interface.
- Control units can be networked.
- Individually programmed stop position using the MFP
S1.
- Alphabetical record administration for
archiving files in the Rotomat office carousel.

Optimum storage with precise height measurement
of the storage articles.
Precise height measurement ensures that containers
can be stored in the optimum packing density. Height-measuring
light barriers are spaced at 37.5 mm, 75 mm, 90 mm or 125 mm.
When the container is drawn in, the high-precision light barriers
measure the articles, and the MP 12 D control unit looks for the
optimum slot in the two storage modules of the Lean-Lift on the
basis of the height data.
With its height sensors, adaptable pitch and
Hanel container engineering, the Hanel Lean-Lift offers vertical
optimization and height optimization in one package! |
|
Digital display of storage compartment
Optical compartment display using LEDs supports
identification of the correct storage compartment. For even more
flexible sub-division, there is even a two-point compartment depth
display.
The pluses
- Quick and easy operation for storage and retrieval!
- Prevention of dangerous load imbalances in the Rotomat!
- Maximum utilization of storage volume thanks to precise height
measurement of the storage articles in the Lean-Lift!
- Compact storgae thanks to vertical optimization working hand-in-hand
with height optimization!
- No mechanical or electronic modification necessary, even if
the range of products in storage changes!
- Reliable display of the required storage compartment!
- Continuous control of the storage weight with the Hanel weighing
deivce.

Weighing device |
Precise weight information
with the Hanel weighing device
An electronic 4-point weighing device enables
each tray to be weighed in the access point. The current weight
can be seen on the keyboard display.
The weighing device allows the maximum load of
the individual shelves and the carousel as a whole to be monitored.
The tare function calculates the additional load. |
